Guam- In the spirit of giving, the Sorensen Media Group partnered up with Fuji Ichiban to donate canned goods to Kamalen Karidat.

The donation was made to the non profit organization’s kitchen where it was accepted by General Manager Deacon Frank Tenorio. He says Kamalen Karidat relies on these donations year round and mentions they always treat the homeless and the needy extraordinary.

“It is an obligation and it’s a beautiful obligation because it is the commandment of God that Jesus told us that if you give drink to the thirsty, if you give clothing to the naked, if you give shelter to the homeless, you’re doing it to me” said Tenorio.

SMG Radio Personality Louise Muna says they were happy to donate for a good cause, especially during the holidays.

“We wanted to present these canned foods to the Kamalen Karidat for the holiday season” said Muna. “And of course it doesn’t have to be the holiday season to donate to them. But we particularly chose this season because it’s to give love. Thank you to Kamalen Karidat for accepting these and thank you to the host, Fuji Ichiban, who accepted the canned food on behalf of SMG.”

Kamelen Karidat is an organization under the Archdiocese of Agana that helps people in need of food, clothes and other resources.
