Guam – Richard Lai retains his post at the helm of Guam Football Association following Monday evening’s GFA Congress held at Fiesta Resort Guam.
Joining Lai as association executives are Pascual Artero in his new capacity as Executive Vice President and Joseph Cepeda as Vice President. After 2010’s Congress, it was agreed to eliminate the treasurer position and install a second Vice president seat. Artero was formerly the Vice President and Cepeda formerly was an Executive Committee member. Lai ran unopposed in his presidential bid.
Gian Tenorio won his re-election bid and stays on the six-member Executive Committee for an additional term. George Lai, formerly Treasurer of GFA, was voted into the Executive Committee. New to the Executive Committee is Kun Ho Rhee, who filled in the final seat in the committee.

During the event, Carl Wegner was presented the distinction of honorary president of GFA for his commitment and efforts in the early years of the organization’s existence. Wegner was presented a No. 1 GFA national jersey on stage by Lai.
Frank Angoco, Rhoda Bamba and Annette Spindel remained in their positions to complete the six members of the Executive Committee.
The next GFA Congress will be held in 2014.
