LEAP Program Gets More Funding

The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration has committed an extra $5 million to the Local Employers’ Assistance Program.

According to Krystal Paco-San Agustin, Director of Communications for the Office of the Governor, “The program was nearing its initial $50 million budget, and the additional commitment ensures more businesses receive relief.”

The LEAP provides relief to small businesses that were affected by the pandemic. Loans from the LEAP may be forgiven if at least 60% of all proceeds are used for eligible employee wage and benefit costs.

The deadline to apply for the LEAP is now Friday, February 25, at 5 pm.
