Guam -The 75th Liberation Day Carnival officially opens at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, at the carnival grounds in Paseo.
Angel Sablan, Mayors’ Council of Guam president, shares the status of the preparations on Newstalk K57 with Patti Arroyo.
“We’re still doing the last minute preparations. We had a vendor meeting last night here at the office. Almost all the vendors showed up, we had Peggy Denny here explaining the recycling program, and we had Revenue and Tax here also making sure that all (those that) get licenses, making sure that they knew where, how to post it, and to have it in their possession at all times. We’re ready to go,” Sablan said.
The 60-day carnival festivities kick off this Sunday at 6 p.m. and opens throughout the week.
The carnival will be open from Monday through Thursday, between 4 p.m. to midnight; on Fridays, from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.; on Saturdays, from noon to 2 a.m., and; on Sunday, from noon to midnight.
