Results are in for the three float categories that were awarded first place in the annual Liberation Day float competition.
This morning the Liberation Day Parade showcased a variety of creative ideas brought to life as each float glided the streets of Hagatna this morning.
All Floats were placed in categories of best village float, best Gov Guam float, and best in civic, community, or non-profit float. Each category was considered in the criteria of theme portrayal; creativity; attractiveness; use of natural materials; construction; movements and mechanical enhancements; sound effects; participant involvement; and overall display.
Here are your winners of each float category…
For best village float: Santa Rita.
For best Government of Guam float: Guam Department of Public Works
For best in Civic, community, or non-profit float: Vietnam Veteran’s of America Chapter 668
