Liberation parade road closures and other reminders

At 10 a.m., Sunday, July 21, the parade will begin.

If you’re planning on heading down to the liberation parade in Hagatna, you might want to be aware of these reminders to make sure that you have a safe and great time this Sunday.

Starting tomorrow at 10 a.m., a complete road closure of Routes 1 and 4 in Hagatna and leading to Routes 1 and 6 in Adelup will begin, according to a release from the 75th Liberation Committee.

By 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, the closure will extend to the southbound outermost lane from the intersection of Routes 1 and 8 in Agana to Routes 1 and 6 in Asan Beach Park.

At 10 a.m., the parade will begin and the carnival grounds will open by noon.

For those who want to watch the parade, there will be designated seating areas along the route. Bleachers will be available in front of the U.S. District Court, Chamorro Village, and the Route 4 intersection.

Designated parking spaces for people with disabilities will be located on either side of the Guam Museum and valid placards must be properly displayed at all times.
