Local students design ornaments for National Christmas Tree display

The young artists are members from the advanced art classes of Simon Sanchez under the guidance of Instructor Ron Canos.

Guam – Simon Sanchez High School students were selected to handcraft Christmas ornaments for the 95th Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting display in Washington D.C.

The students designed ornaments inspired by local symbolic imagery from cultural artifacts and environmental landmarks.

The young artists are members from the advanced art classes of Simon Sanchez under the guidance of Instructor Ron Canos.

A press release says Guam will be one of the 56 trees in the light display representing each U.S. Territory, State, and the District of Columbia.
