Guam – Police blocked off a section of Farenholt Avenue to Governor Carlos Camacho in Tamuning after a car crashed into a utility pole this afternoon.
This is the 12th traffic fatality of the year.
Danilo Cabrera was driving his personal vehicle which doubled as a taxi when he apparently hit a utility pole head-on while traveling north on Farenholt Avenue near Oka Payless.
The accident occurred just before 2 p.m.
According to Miki Taxi manager Catherine Bansil, he was employed with their company for six years.
Bansil said, “We are really grieving right now because of what happened. It was an accident. He has been a good driver since working with Miki and we are shocked by what happened.”
Guam Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao said that authorities are currently investigating the crash.
