Guam – Lou Leon Guerrero and Josh Tenorio unveiled their campaign headquarters in Hagatna this morning officially kicking off their campaign for Governor and Lt. Governor.
Tenorio and Leon Guerrero cut the ribbon at their headquarters which is located in the old Nanbo insurance building across the street from the Julale shopping center. “For those of you who may not know me, I was born and raised in Sinajana and I have a younger sister Charissa my dad Jesus Atoigue Tenorio was a telephone man and my mom Therese Taitano Franquez Tenorio is a retired school teacher. Both of my parents are deeply involved in our democratic party,” said Tenorio.
Tenorio has worked for all three branches of government most recently working as the administrator of the courts for the Judiciary of Guam. “You can rest assured that the processes of government are not foreign to me,” said Tenorio adding, “together we are ready to serve your interests applying the core values of honesty hard work equality and transparency that we both share. We are a new grass roots movement that has a great new leader in Lou. She has the compassion of a nurse, the political instincts of a legislator and the savvy of a businesswoman who has run one of the biggest financial institutions in this region.”
Leon Guerrero spoke about the type of Guam she and Tenorio want to create for the children and grandchildren of the island. “A Guam that turns the page on the politics of the past. A Guam that brings people together to solve big problems without recycling the same old promises you hear every four years. A Guam that stops kicking the financial can down the road digging us deeper and deeper into a financial hole. A Guam whose government plays by the rules and gives everyone a fair shot. That is the Guam we all want. Lou Leon Guerrero and Josh Tenorio are the first gubernatorial team to officially announce their candidacy.
