Lupus is a chronic disease that can cause inflammation and pain throughout your body.
According to a recent survey, over 500 on Guam people have it. And they, along with their families, can learn more about this condition by tuning in to a webinar that will be held tomorrow.
The Lupus Awareness Group of Guam is hosting an online forum for lupus patients and their caretakers to learn more about lupus.
Geri Leon Guerrero, a board member of the awareness group, says that patients will be able to discuss their concerns with Dr. Evan Vista, a rheumatologist as well as Dr. Travona Shievdayal, a pharmacist.
“We’ve gotten some concerns from patients about everything that’s going on from COVID about the medicine that they use daily. I know that Dr. Vista and Dr. Travona will put them at ease about questions whether they can still take their medicine, whether they’ll run out, and alternatives. These are some of the questions and issues we’ll address during the webinar meeting,” Leon Guerrero said.
The webinar is limited to 100 participants and will take place tomorrow morning from 9:30 to 11 o’clock over Zoom. To register, please visit the Lupus Awareness Group of Guam on Facebook.
