Maimai Marlins Sit Alone Atop Standings in GBMBL 

 

(Hagatna, Guam)  The 2015 Guam Budweiser Masters Baseball League (GBMBL) season continued on Saturday, February 28, with a four-game schedule at Paseo Stadium. In the first game, the M-T-M Falcons defeated the Chalan Pago Amigos, 11-5. Roy Celes got the win while Andy Quintinilla suffered the loss. M-T-M is now 2-2 with Chalan Pago dropping to 2-3.

 

In the next game, the 76 Agana Heights Blues beat C-Men’z, 16-2. John Halloran got the win while Melan Borja took the loss. The Blues are now 4-0-1 while C-Men’z remains winless at 0-4.  In the third game of the day, the 

Maimai Marlins took sole possession of first place with the 17-6 win over the 76 Circle K Cougars. Roke Munoz got the win while John Leon Guerrero took the loss. The Marlins are now 5-0 while the Cougars fall to 2-3. 

 

In the nightcap, the Twins racked up the 15-1 victory over the Belau Masters. Denis Rivera shut out Belau giving up just four hits in his maximum four innings of work for the win. Cliff Kyota took the loss. The Twins improve to 3-2 while the Belau Masters suffer their first loss and go to 4-1. 

 

The action continues on Monday, March 2, at Paseo Stadium with a doubleheader starting with the Giants and Talofofo Rangers at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Chalan Pago Amigos and Asan Rai at 8:30 p.m.
