Man arrested for aggravated assault and possible homicide

A man has been arrested for aggravated assault in Yigo.

On Aug. 21, 2021, officers from the Dededo Precinct Command were dispatched to Chalan Fusiños Street in Yigo, responding to a report of aggravated assault.

The victim, John Pinaula, was transported by medics to GRMC where he remained.

On October 5, 2021, GPD detectives arrested Manuel Cabrera Tedtaotao, male, 39, from Sinajana.

He was arrested for the following:

  1. Aggravated Assault
  2. Kidnapping
  3. Criminal Facilitation
  4. Assault
  5. Guilt by Complicity
  6. Reckless Conduct
  7. Robbery 1st Degree (inflict or attempt to inflict bodily injury)
  8. Theft of a motor vehicle

On October 27, 2021, the Guam Police Department received information that Mr.
Pinaula had passed away.

Pinaula will undergo forensic medical examination when the off-island forensic
pathologist arrives on Guam.

Discussion has been initiated with the Office of the Attorney General’s
Prosecution Division for possible additional charges against Manuel Tedtaotao,
who remains in custody at the Department of Corrections.
