A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with family violence as a misdemeanor.
On March 18, Guam Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at a Santa Rita-Sumai residence a little after 12:30 a.m.
The victim told police that Donavan Shawn Arriola Nelson threatened to kill him and his wife.
According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam, Nelson slammed, and punched the victim in the chest, causing him to black out. This, after the victim denied him from entering his residence.
Court documents state that Nelson also kicked the victim in the ribcage.
Officers noted redness and bruising to the victim’s chest.
The victim told officers that he was experiencing pain on the inside of his left leg, which was swollen. He also had swelling to his right elbow and struggled to walk.
Nelson is accused of owning a firearm as the victim saw ammunition in his bag.
The victim, according to charging documents, believes that Nelson is on methamphetamine.
He was charged with family violence as a misdemeanor.
