Man Arrested For Machete Attack in Hagatna

Atson Katwan booked and confined for attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of felony, family violence and public drunkenness.

Guam – At around 5:55 in the morning officers responded to the Hagatna Mobil where they arrested a man for a machete attack.

 

 

 GPD spokesman officer Paul Tapao says a man named Atson Katwan argued with an unknown male individual over occupying an abandoned home and then struck him behind his head, neck and back with a machete causing lacerations. When a woman tried to intervene Katwan attacked her and caused lacerations to her foot. Both victims were treated by GFD personnel at the scene but they refused any further medical treatment. Katwan was later booked and confined for attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of felony, family violence and public drunkenness.
