Man arrested for murder in Dededo shooting incident

As reported, on Sunday, January 24, 2021, shortly before 9:30 pm, officers assigned to the Dededo Precinct Command responded to a shooting incident that occurred at a home along Route 28, Ysengsong Road in Dededo.

A 40-year-old man was immediately transported to Guam Regional Medical City for treatment and care relative to injuries sustained. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by attending physicians.

Detectives from GPD’S Criminal Investigation Division were activated to assume the case as a person of interest has been identified.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives later arrested a 37-year-old Larry James Gagan for the following offenses:

= Murder
= Aggravated Assault
= Use of a Deadly Weapon in Commission of a Felony
= Reckless Conduct
= Discharge of a Firearm and
= Purchase or Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid Identification

Gagan was subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. This case
has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
