Man arrested for robbing Elite Bakery in Tamuning

A 34-year-old man was arrested for robbery in Tamuning.

On Friday, April 3 at around 5:00 p.m., officers assigned to the Tumon Precinct Command responded to a robbery at Elite Bakery in Tamuning.

According to Guam Police Department spokesman Paul Tapao, preliminary reports suggest that a male armed with a knife, entered the store and demanded money.

The armed suspect quickly fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

As responding officers were en route, they were informed by an unknown passerby that the suspect was seen running in Espiritu St.

Both officers assigned to the Tumon Precinct Command and SWAT pursued the suspect on foot and were able to apprehend him by Guam Premier Outlets in Tamuning.

Officers later arrested Kevin Michael Jackson Jr., male, 34 years-old for the following offenses:

-Robbery 2nd Degree
-Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony
-Theft of Property

He was later booked and confined at the Department of Corrections This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
