Police have arrested a man in Yigo for shooting a pellet gun at passing motorists.
61-year-old Boland Ngirachelsau was identified by witnesses as the man shooting at passing motorists with a pellet gun.
Police say they received the call just before 11 a.m. this morning and responded to East Gayinero Street in Yigo where an individual sustained injuries.
While reports of an incident went viral on social media. Police spokesman Sgt Paul Tapao clarified that it was not an active shooter report.
Ngirachelsau was arrested on offenses of aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and criminal mischief.
The victim was treated at GRMC.
Tapao says this incident is not linked to the pellet gun incident reported in Piti.
