Man arrested for terrorizing and family violence

A man convicted in 2013 of manslaughter has been arrested for terrorizing and family violence.

On Monday, March 22, 2021, officers assigned to the Southern Precinct Command entertained a terrorizing complaint in Talofofo.

Preliminary reports suggest that the female victim got into a verbal argument with the male suspect, late identified as, 32-year-old Carl Florence Eucogco Gargarita, while at the victim’s home in Talofofo.

The female victim then left for work, only to discover Carl Gargarita’s vehicle was parked within the parking lot of her place of employment. While at her work, she allegedly received threatening text messages from Carl Gargarita, which prompted her to call the police out of fear for her safety.

As police arrived, they were informed by the victim that Carl Gargarita was armed with a gun. Offices met with the suspect and located a .45 caliber handgun. Carl Gargarita was later arrested for the following offenses:

= Terrorizing
= Family Violence
= Stalking
= Harassment and
= Unlawful Possession of Firearms without Firearms identification

Carl Gargarita was subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.

According to PNC files, Gargarita pleaded to guilty to manslaughter in the 2013 death of Anthony Giralao.
