Man arrested for vehicle theft and burglary in gas station parking lot

On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at around 6:10 p.m., officers assigned to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command entertained a burglary of a vehicle complaint that occurred within the parking lot of the Jack in the Box/Shell Gas Station, in upper Tumon.

Preliminary reports suggest that the victim had reported that while putting air in the vehicle’s tire, an unknown man had opened the car door and took the victim’s bag.

A check was made to the surrounding area, where a male fitting the description depicted from surveillance footage was located to include the victim’s personal belongings.

Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that 40-year-old Tomas Toves Quichocho Jr. was responsible for six (6) burglaries to vehicle complaints within the Jack In the Box/Shell gas station.

Tomas Toves Quichocho Jr. was later arrested for the following offenses:

  • Burglary to a vehicle and
  • Theft of Property

He was subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
