Guam – A sexual assault on a female minor caught on camera and circulated on social media has resulted in the arrest of  one the three men allegedly shown on the video.

According to the Guam Police Department (GPD) Spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao, police learned about the assault through a tip on Crime Stoppers in January.

Based on the information provided by authorities, it appears that at least one of the suspects filmed and shared the video on social media.

Tapao said  the investigation revealed that the suspects were off island, which required the Domestic Assault Response Team to work with the Attorney General’s Office and federal law enforcement to coordinate the return of the suspects to Guam.

At this time, only one of the three suspects have been brought back to the island.

The suspect has been identified as 18-year old Vianney Hosei. Police say that upon his arrival to Guam, Hosei was detained at the airport and transported to GPD headquarters where he was interviewed and subsequently arrested.

The offenses warranting his arrest include, 1st degree criminal sexual conduct, possession of child pornography and the dissemination of child pornography.

Hosei was booked and confined. Meanwhile GPD indicates that the case is still ongoing as “detectives continue to work with the Office of the Attorney General and federal law enforcement counterparts in bring closure to the case.”
