Man arrested in Serenu incident; damage was caused by slingshot and marbles, not gunfire

On Thursday, May 13, 2021, officers assigned to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command entertained a Criminal Mischief complaint at Serenu Avenue in Tamuning.

The preliminary report suggests that a company vehicle was damaged while parked by the Urijip Korea Restaurant, Tamuning. The responding officers were informed that the suspect returned operating a black Mitsubishi Lancer.

Upon the arrival of the officers, they observed the suspect’s vehicle and subsequently conducted a traffic stop.

The operator of the vehicle, later identified as 21-year-old Rodman Machuo became combative, resisted, and was eventually subdued by the responding officers. A patrol vehicle was damaged in the process of subduing Machuo.

Furthermore, a slingshot and marbles were later located within the Mitsubishi Lancer. \

Rodman Machuo was later arrested for the following offenses:

-Criminal Mischief
-Resisting Arrest
-Driving While Impaired
-Open Container and
-No Driver’s License

Rodman Machuo was subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
