Guam – A man who was arrested for his alleged involvement in a string of burglaries is also wanted in the state of Texas.
Ronnie Sanchez has a long rap sheet of crimes he allegedly committed. Earlier this month he was arrested for allegedly burglarizing 9 homes in Dededo, Tamuning, Tumon and Harmon. Before that arrest he was already charged with three other burglaries.
It now appears that his alleged criminal past is not only confined to the island but extends to Corpus Christi, Texas. The federal court is in receipt of a petition for writ of removal from the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
That extradition request states that on April 26, 2017, Sanchez was indicted on two counts of fraud and related activity in connection with access devices. A warrant for his arrest was issued two days later but it appears that Sanchez was already on his way to Guam.
According to the Texas indictment, over the course of two months, Sanchez obtained and used a Navy Federal credit Union Debit card, a Bank of America Debit card, a Capital One Visa credit card and a BB&T debit card not belonging to him, racking up about $1000 or more in charges.
Sanchez has been remanded to the custody of the US Marshals. A hearing has been set to confirm his identity on February 2.
