Man charged with family violence after allegedly headbutting his girlfriend

The Guam Police Department has arrested a 28-year-old man for family violence.

Police say that on Tuesday, December 29, their officers were dispatched to a residence in Dededo after an assault complaint was reported a little before 1 p.m.

The victim told police that she and her boyfriend Jerome Babauta Wusstig had an argument, then Wussitg allegedly walked up to her, and headbutted her twice.

According to court documents, there was a history of unreported verbal and physical abuse.

Wusstig admitted to arguing with the victim, pushing her twice, and said that he accidentally headbutted her.

Officers noted redness to the victim’s forehead and swelling to one of her eyes.

Wusstig has been charged with family violence as a misdemeanor.

He was booked and confined.
