Kevin Pereda was arrested last Friday for allegedly stabbing his wife. Court Documents say that Pereda also attempted to stab another man as well we with the same weapon – a kitchen knife with a blue handle.

The 2nd victim told officers that Pereda pushed him onto the floor and attempted to stab him. The 2nd victim reported that a few seconds after the attempted stabbing – Pereda told him to tell officers that his wife fell on the knife.

According to an official magistrates report, on a separate incident in April – Pereda allegedly assaulted a man who lived with him with a metal chair after punching him in the face numerous times.

Court documents further state that Pereda threatened to shoot the man, his kids, and everyone else in the home.

As for Pereda’s wife, according to the magistrates report, he allegedly punched her in the ribcage during last Friday’s incident.

The wife was transported to GRMC, and her status was unknown as of 9:50pm last Friday.

Upon arrest – when notified of his Miranda Rights, Pereda told officers “I don’t want to sign if I am going to get arrested.” and “I did not stab my wife, she fell on it.”

Pereda is charged with the following….2 counts of aggravated assault….terrorizing with a special allegation…a different terrorizing charge…family violence as a felony….along with 2 counts of family violence. as a misdemeanor
