The man was identified as 45-year-old Robert Whathag. Police believe his body had been in the coral pit for several days before it was found.
Guam – Medical Examiner Dr. Espinola also completed the autopsy of a man whose decomposing body was found in a coral pit in Dededo last week Monday.
Dr. Espinola identified the man to be 45-year-old Robert Whathag, whose death he believes to be accidental.
Dr. Espinola says Whathag appears to have fallen about 100 feet into the coral pit.
It’s not clear, however, if alcohol was involved. Dr. Espinola says he was unable to conduct a toxicology tests because Whathag’s body was badly decomposed.
