GFD says they have decided not to rappel off the cliffside and will respond by rescue boats and jetski instead.
Guam – The Guam Fire Department is responding to a man who jumped off of Two Lover’s Point this afternoon.
According to GFD Spokeswoman Cherika Chargualaf, the man had threatened to jump off before 9 this morning.
For several hours, negotiators attempted to talk the man out of jumping, however, Chargualaf says at 12:16 p.m., the man jumped off the ledge.
“At this time rescue units are responding by means of [rappelling] and by rescue boat,” Chargualaf said minutes after the man jumped.
The man’s condition is not known as of news time.
