Guam – A man riding a stolen motorcycle without a helmet on, slammed into a stationary car Friday night and died early Saturday morning at Guam Memorial Hospital.
The collision occurred just after 11:30 Friday night in Dededo at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 3.
Guam Police Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia released the identity of the man Saturday afternoon. He is 25 year old Joaquin Sebastian Quenga Guerrero of Yona.
Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that Quenga was riding a stolen 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle attempted to make a right turn onto Marine Drive south-bound from Route 3, lost control and collided with a 2005 Nissan Altima which was at a stand-still at the intersection.
Officer Balajadia says the man was pined under the Altima and suffered head trauma. He was not wearing a helmet.
He died at GMH at 2:10am Saturday morning. His death marks the 13th traffic related fatality of the year on island.
The man driving the Altima and his male passenger were not injured.
