Anthony Jude Leon Guerrero Blas, 21, appeared in court Monday morning dressed in a Marine Corps uniform, ready to take a deal with the federal government.

Blas is accused of taking five postal packages containing vape juice bottles from a United Airlines cargo facility between December 2016 and January 2017 worth approximately $6,000.

At the hearing, he pleaded guilty to theft of mail as a felony. According to court documents, he would place the stolen items in another person’s vehicle and then they would divvy them up.

Admitting to the crime, Blas now faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. While his sentence has yet to be determined, he will be placed on three years supervised release following any jail time.

Accepting the guilty plea, District Court Magistrate Judge Joaquin Manibusan has set a sentencing date for Dec. 16.
