Guam – Margaret Metcalfe has confirmed that she will be running for congress.
Metcalfe ran for Guam’s delegate seat in congress during the last election but lost in the Republican primary to Senator Frank Blas Jr. She confirmed that she would be running for office with Patti Arroyo on Newstalk K57’s Morning’s with Patti radio show. Metcalfe heads Governor Eddie Calvo’s Washington D.C. liason office. S
“Well it sounds like the Governor placed you in the perfect position to launch eventually a campaign that might put you in there permanently but in a different capacity because now you are going to run for the delegate seat for Guam in this upcoming election?” asked Arroyo.
“Yes dear. Yes and thank you for mentioning it. My family and I got together a long with a number of supporters and we’ve established an office and we’re putting it together right now in the heart of Hagatna. It’s going to be right across the street from Bank of Guam,” said Metcalfe.
Metcalfe will be running against former Governor Felix
Camacho in the primary election. Neither candidate has officially filed yet but both have announced that they will be running for office.
