Guam – The shareholders of Marianas Finance Corporation convened their annual meeting this past Saturday and elected their members of the Board of Directors.
They are Philip Flores, Chairman, Peter “Sonny” Ada, Vice Chairman, Mark Fish, Simon Sanchez, Fred Tanaka, Herbert “Bert” Johnston and Mike Benito.
The Board met immediately afterwards and declared dividends in the amount of $0.085 per share payable to shareholders on April 1.
The Board then promoted Mrs. Carmelita Gogue to the position of Vice President and General Manager. Mrs. Gogue has been with MFC for two years having previously served as an Assistant Branch Manager for Red Canoe Credit Union in Puyallup, Washington and an Assistant Vice President for BankPacific. She received her Bachelor and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Guam and was her class Valedictorian at Notre Dame High School.
“We’re pleased to have had another good year at Marianas Finance and we thank our staff for their continued dedication to our customers,” said MFC President Philip Flores. “We also congratulated Carmelita for her well deserved promotion to Vice President.”
