*** High Surf Advisory is in effect for South & West facing shores. Hazardous surf of 8 to 10 ft. will build between 9 to 13 ft. today along South & West facing shores. This will persist through at least midweek before subsiding along South facing shores late in the week. As tropical storm Lan moves farther away. Long period Northwest to North swells will reach the area & cause surf to increase along North facing shores late in the week. Avoid venturing near reef lines & exposed beaches. Especially those facing South & West as rip currents may be life threatening.
TUESDAY – Northwest winds of 10 kt. Wind waves at 2 ft. or less with Northeast swells of 5-7 ft. Sunrise at 6:12 am & Sunset at 6:01 pm. Low tide of 0.3 ft. at 11:49 am & high tide of 2.4 ft. at 6:13 pm.
WEDNESDAY – Southwest winds of 10-15 kt. Wind waves at 2 ft. or less with Northeast swells at 6-8 ft. Sunrise at 6:12 am & Sunset at 6:00 pm. Low tide of 0.6 ft. at 12:33 am & high tide at 2.2 ft. at 6:24 am. Low tide at 0.5 ft. at 12:38 pm & high tide at 2.4 ft. at 6:44 pm.
THURSDAY – North winds at 10 kt. Wind waves at 2 ft. or less with Western swells at 9-11 ft. & Eastern swells at 3 ft.
With heavy downpours & isolated thunderstorms, be careful out on open waters & if you see lightning or hear thunder, seek shelter.
