The U.S. Marines 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion participated in the exercise to maintain skills they learned on Okinawa according to Gunnery Sergeant Glenn Cederholm.
Sgt Cederholm says Guam is the perfect location for the platoon to train since it is surrounded by water. Today’s exercise involved swimming from boats, navigating, finding targets and gathering intelligence.
The 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion is responsible for ship to shore missions and supports the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The platoon has been on Guam for three weeks now and will be here for about another week.
