A Superior Court of Guam judge sentenced Mark Felix to five years at the Department of Corrections for touching a minor while she slept.

The prosecution argued for 11 years’ incarceration because of the seriousness of the crime.
Prosecuting Attorney Sean Brown recognized the victim’s bravery and the support of her
family throughout the case and at trial. He also reminded the community, “We need to be
careful who we allow into our home because anyone, no matter how well we know them, can be a potential threat.”
Upon serving his sentence, the defendant must serve a five-year parole term and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
“While we did not get the jail time we argued for, the People hope the victim and her family
can rest easier knowing her perpetrator will be behind bars. Justice was served, and the
victim and her family were heard by the justice system,” Attorney Brown said.
