Guam – Mike Borja, the nephew of the late former Congressman Ben Blaz has announced that masses are being prayed nightly at 6pm at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Ordot.
Borja says a planned memorial service will be announced at a later date and it is likely to coincide with the Congressman’s interment on the mainland. Blaz’ son Tom Blaz has announcement that the former Congressman will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, next to his wife, Ann.
The former Congressman and retired Marine Brigadier General passed away in Virginia Wednesday after an undisclosed illness. He was 85.
Governor Calvo has declared a State of Mourning on Guam and flags are flying at half staff in honor of Blaz’s service to Guam and country.
