Guam- The Mayors Council’s special monthly meeting centered on numerous topics, including a look at LED lighting to save on energy costs in their offices.
Guest speakers from GRESCO spoke to the mayors about investing in locally made LED lighting. While the council had many questions on costs and energy consumption, Dededo Mayor Melissa Savares says they will be looking at a request for proposal process for lighting and fixtures soon.
“What we are looking at is eventually, we’re going to back in and do a RFP for all of these fixtures that were assessed” said Savares.
The council also listened to a GHURU resident board representative about programs available for qualified individuals and Public Auditor Doris Flores Brooks also dropped by to discuss an audit on non appropriated funds.
