The fireworks display scheduled for tonight in Merizo has been postponed.

According to the Guam Visitors Bureau, the fireworks display had to be postponed due to “barge issues.”

The postponed fireworks display would have been part of three synchronized fireworks launches from Oka Point (old hospital), Hagåtña Boat Basin, and a barge off Malesso’ Pier at 8:15 p.m., with theme music accompanying the drone-light and fireworks shows.

The other two liberation fireworks shows in Tumon and Hagåtña, as well as the drone show in Tumon, are still proceeding as planned, according to GVB.

The Merizo fireworks display has now been moved to 8 pm on Saturday.
