Guam – The Merizo Mayors office was burglarized over the weekend, sometime between Sunday evening and Monday morning.
The thieves likely broke into this window that is now shut with plywood.
According to Mayor Ernest Chargulaf the robbers got away with a chopsaw, waterblaster, and keys to riding mowers and a storage room that contains other equipment. The police have already dusted the area for fingerprints and are currently investigating the break in.
Meanwhile, the mayor is asking for the communities help in finding the people responsible for stealing the equipment that his office badly needs.
“Whoever did it had no respect for me my staff my council and most especially the people in Merizo and they better hope and pray they don’t get caught because if they are caught and they’re convicted I’m gonna be in the forefront asking that they go spend some time in jail because that’s where they belong,” said Chargulaf.
The mayor is offering a one thousand dollar reward to anyone with any information that leads to an arrest.
