Micronesian Island Fair starts Wednesday


Guam – To kick off the summer, the 31st Guam Micronesian Island Fair will start on Wednesday, May 29 at the Plaza de España in Hagåtña.

The fair is the annual signature cultural event of the Guam Visitors Bureau and showcases the diverse cultures of Micronesia.

As part of this year’s theme, “Celebrating Peace and Friendship in the Pacific,” GVB will welcome delegates and artisans hailing from Rota, the Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. Guam’s delegation will be represented by local master craftsmen and artisans.

Food trucks, musical and dance performances, and a fashion show will be featured at the event. This year, the fair will take place from Wednesday, May 29, to Sunday, June 2, from 10 am to 9 pm except for Sunday, June 2, where it will take place from 10 am to 6 pm.

The opening ceremony for the Guam Micronesian Island Fair will be on May 29, Wednesday at 6 pm.
