The Guam Community College Foundation and First Hawaiian Bank thank island runners, the Guam Running Club, and GCC, FHB, and Father Duenas Middle School volunteers for assisting with the annual race for scholarships, which drew nearly 300 participants. Proceeds from this 5K directly benefit GCC students in the form of multiple scholarships in honor of the late John K. Lee, Jr., former First Hawaiian Bank Guam and CNMI Senior Vice President/ Region Supervisor and GCC Foundation board member.
Special thanks to United Airlines, which every year has provided a roundtrip economy ticket for travel between Guam and Micronesia, Japan, Hong Kong or Manila as the 5K’s grand prize.
