Military to conduct training exercises this week

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan- Malojloj on April 17 from noon to 8 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada and Dandan-Malojloj
April 19-22 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should
not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor on April
19-22 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.

Blank ammunition will be utilized for this training. Residents in
surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased
activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live-fire exercises in open ocean April 19-22
from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates:
13˚26”N/145˚08”E, 13˚42”N/144˚36”E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of
the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners
for advisories.

Military units will conduct training in Radio Barrigada April 21-22 from
noon to 4 p.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct live-fire exercises in open ocean on April
21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚07.2″N/ 144˚34.
65″E, 13˚07.2″N/ 144˚40.85″E, 13˚01.5″N/ 144˚34.65″E, 13˚01.5″N/
144˚40.85″E, 13˚07.2″N/ 144˚36.8″E, 13˚07.2″N/ 144˚38.8″E, 13˚09.2″N/
144˚36.8″E, 13˚09.2″N/ 144˚38.8″E.

The general public is advised to remain clear of the areas for the duration

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills
needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a
stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
