Minor Arrested For Murder in Maite

According to the Guam Police Department, the suspect, a male minor, from the village of Maite was taken into custody for: Murder, Aggravated Assault, Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony, Reckless Conduct, Conspiracy, and Underage Consumption of Alcohol.

The minor was arrested in connection to a murder incident that happened over the weekend.

According to GPD’s report – on Saturday March 5th – a little past midnight, on Saturday March 5th, officers from the the Central Precinct Command responded Angel Care Apartments on Robat Street in the village of Maite for an Injured Person Call.

Upon GPD’s arrival they located an adult male, lying in a quote, “pool of blood with serious injuries, unconscious and unresponsive.”

The victim, who was identified to be a 33 year old Chuukese male, was transferred by the Guam Fire Department to Naval Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by the attending physician.

GPD further reported that Detectives were able to locate the suspect at his residence. The investigation ended with a confession from the minor to his involvement of the incident.

The minor was confined and the department of Youth Affairs, and the case was forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office.
