Guam – A 16-year old faces assault charges after three UOG students were threatened with a machete and another man received a laceration to his neck.
According to Guam Police Department Spokesman A.J. Balajadia officers were called to the Liheng Apartments in Mangilao at 10pm last night where they were met with a 44-year old Chinese man who said he was attacked while talking on his cellular phone. The man had a laceration to his neck and was transported to GMH for treatment.
Police were also told that the same attacker had threatened three students near the UOG Science Building while holding a machete.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 16-year old Chuukese man. He was taken into police custody and charged with Aggravated Assault, Three Counts of Terrorizing, Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony, Criminal Mischief, Consumption of Alcohol, Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct and Reckless Conduct.
The minor was also taken to GMH and treated for a foot injuring from an unrelated incident before being confined at the Department of Youth Affairs.
