On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, officers assigned to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command responded to a disturbance call involving a male holding a child and waving a knife in the air at an apartment complex in Tamuning.
Upon the officers’ arrival, they were able to gain compliance from the 16-year-old male, who released the child to a family member and surrendered the knife.
The male minor was immediately detained and was transported to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command with no further incident.
Investigators assigned to GPD’S Juvenile Investigation Section were later activated and took the male minor into custody. He was taken into custody for the following offenses:
- Reckless Conduct
- Family Violence and
- Disorderly Conduct
The male minor was subsequently confined at the Department of Youth Affairs. This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
