Guam – A missing Corban University student in Salem Oregon has been found safe, according to the college’s spokesman, Steven Hunt.
Luke Atkinson, 21, was reportedly missing since last Friday when he didn’t show up for cross country practice and a competition the following day.
ABC affiliate KATU News reports on their website that Atkinson was “never in danger and unaware of the search for him.”

A message posted on Facebook from the Atkinson family also said that Luke Atkinson was found as of 11:30 am PST by family members in Lebanon, Oregon.
“We are now working with family in Oregon and the University regrouping with Luke. We are praying and looking as to how we can support him best at this time,” wrote Greg Atkinson, the family spokesperson.
According to the family, a large search and rescue effort was launched and local and county police and sheriff’s offices were involved with the search.
Atkinson is a former resident of Guam and is a 2010 graduate of George Washington High School. Corban University is a private Christian university in Salem.
