Gasoline prices are up

The cost for a gallon of gas is now $4.25 a gallon, up from $4.15 cents yesterday.

Mobil service stations on island boosted their price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline by 10 cents Wednesday morning, 76 was quick to follow, raising its prices by the same amount yesterday afternoon and Shell follow their lead overnight.

The cost for a gallon of gas is now $4.25 a gallon at all three gasoline suppliers on island, up from $4.15 cents yesterday.

This is the first price hike of the year on Guam. It comes in the wake of Iran’s missile attack on U.S. military installations in Iraq.

The American Automobile Association reports that the average gas price on the mainland is holding steady at $2.58.
