Guam – More fighter jets are coming to Guam.  A release from the Air Force announced that about 12 F-16 Fighting Falcons from Washington, D.C.’s National Guard will be deployed to Andersen Air Force Base at the beginning of November.

The movement of the aircraft, according to officials, is part of regular efforts since 2004 to deter threats to security in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

The release did not say how long the jets will be on Guam, or in what specific missions they will participate.
