Guam – 2,095 people cross the finish line Saturday at the 12th annual “Strides for the Cure” race.
300 of the participants were cancer survivors.
The 2k/5k event helps raise funds for the fight against cancer. This year the fund raising effort was aimed at raising funds for Guam Cancer Care to support the island’s first ever Kids for the Cure campaign.
Seven businesses and organizations signed the “Strides for the Cure” pledge.
Among them, United Airlines, The Outrigger Guam Resort, DFS Galleria, J&G Distributors & Wholesalers, The Plaza, and DNA Evolution.
