Mosey on down to the Westin’s new Texas Style BBQ Buffet!

Saddle up and mosey on down to the Westin’s new Texas Style BBQ Buffet every Friday!

Taste restaurant, which is in the Westin Resort hotel on Guam, launched their Texas-Style BBQ buffet on Friday.

PNC caught up to try out their dishes, ranging from Texas-style brisket, baked fish, beans, Mexican corn, and most importantly — their BBQ.

When asked why are they doing the Texas-style theme, assistant director of sales and marketing Sheena Tiamzon-Bocatija says that after doing Filipino dishes for the past two months, they felt that it was time to try something new.

“The last two months we did a Filipino lunch buffet and we wanted to try something different so we brainstormed with the F&B team. Our chef wanted to try something different, something he has noticed wasn’t available in Guam. And so that’s where he came up with Texas-style BBQ,” Sheena said.

She added that they were surprised and glad to see that their reservation numbers are increasing.

“We are very surprised at the outcome that we had today. We’re looking at 200 reservations today and the reservations are climbing for the following Fridays as well. We’re really excited and eager to see the people come in and see what they have to say,” Sheena said.

Executive Chef Karl Lee says that even though he has only been on Guam for 8 months, he enjoys working with his staff. He described the people he works with as strong individuals who help push his culinary efforts forward.

The buffet is only offered on Fridays from 11:30 am to 2:30 PM.
