Movie theaters and child care centers can re-open Monday; bars and bowling alleys by Friday

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has authorized the re-opening of movie theaters and child care centers, among other businesses, on Monday, June 15, at 8 a.m.

Child care centers are limited to 25% capacity.

Movie theaters are limited to 50% capacity as required by the Governor’s  Executive Order 2020-14. issued on May 8th.

DPHSS Guidance Memorandum 2020-19 also permits the resumption on Monday of “fishing charters and other similar businesses,” as well as “non-organized, contact physical activities and sports.

Sporting events, tournaments, and other similar activities remain prohibited, according to the memo.

Eating and drinking establishments, including bars and taverns, can re-open Friday, June 19 at 8 a.m. They are also limited to 25% capacity.

Bowling alleys can also resume business at the same time on Friday.
