VIDEO: Governor Signs Off on “Notice-to-Proceed” for the Guam Museum

Guam  – Governor Eddie Calvo signed off on the  “Notice-to-Proceed” for the Guam Museum Tuesday afternoon.

The document signed by the Governor clears the way for the physical construction of the museum to begin and the foundation work will begin almost immediately, he said.

Architect Andy Laguana also gave reporters an over-view of the project  and spoke passionately about the design, and the impact it will have on downtown Hagatna.

Construction should be completed by the end of next year at a cost of  $27-million dollars, although Laguana predicted it should come in under-budget.
